[Ontbirds] HSR: DRHW- Lake Erie Metropark (26 Sep 2010) 1407 Raptors
Tue, Sep 28, 2010 2:09 PM
Still good numbers where moving, Broad-winged Hawks came in at 1,031 for the day, and Turkey Vultures topped off at 286. Most of the Broad-winged Hawks could be seen flying over Lake Erie to south east of us. The birds where lost as they got closer to Pt. Mouille SGA. Non-raptor Observations: Very slow nothing of note.

Chester, 9/26 - white-throated sparrow
Sun, Sep 26, 2010 12:33 PM
Chester, 9/26 - FOY white-throated sparrow, joined by a towhee. The two were searching a dogwood tree for berries (in vain). Fortunately, there is plenty of sumac and a giant olive bush putting out loads of fruit, so they should find plenty to eat. - Tammy Eustis, Chester

The flip side of the coin, Washington has no personal income tax . . . . so each has to weigh where "they" can get you!

free docks/walls as an economic engine
Sun, Feb 28, 2010 5:30 PM
The other side of the coin is Elizabeth City, NC. They celebrate their free dock and even throw in a wine and cheese party at 5 PM. Its good for the hardware store, the resturants, the movie theater, the bakery, the grocery store will pick you up in their van and drop you off...you get the picture. Its nice to be appreciated!

However, not all batches of these seem to have suffered the problem. If any on a unit go they may well all die. Also it is possible that they may have been replaced at some time in the past, I knew a technician at the service dept here in California who did a lot of them way back, when they were still supported...
