Official Counter: Jeff Schultz
Observers: Rodney Laura
Visitors:
Dead day, only our super dedicated hawk watcher Rodney made it down.
Weather:
Winds where light out of the north west and visibility was good.
Temperatures where cold however, fall has arrived here at the metropark.
Raptor Observations:
The majority of the flight today was early, it was basically over by 11am.
Still good numbers where moving, Broad-winged Hawks came in at 1,031 for
the day, and Turkey Vultures topped off at 286. Most of the Broad-winged
Hawks could be seen flying over Lake Erie to south east of us. The birds
where lost as they got closer to Pt. Mouille SGA.
Non-raptor Observations:
Very slow nothing of note.
Predictions:
Tomorrow should have some good movements, but the weather will be similar
today. I predict that tomorrow will be an almost mirror image of today.
