Take Bayfield Street (Highway 26/27) and exit #98 towards Stayner/Wasaga Beach. Turn left onto Bayfield Street and follow until Highway 26 West turn-off towards Stayner and Collingwood. Turn right in Stayner and follow Highway 26 into Collingwood. Diana Harding Tucker Cookstown

You could then edit that polygon to remove all the faces where all points are on the same Z height (IE they are flat on the XY plane).  Not sure if it will produce an error if you try to render the STL as it will certainly be non-manifold, but if it works it's highly reproducible... If I were to try to do this automatically, I think I'd move the PLL set point in "n" steps from near the bottom to near the top and look at the width of the PPS signal at each step; perhaps using the bucket scheme that Stanley mentioned and using some count per bucket to decide "how wide is wide".
