Things go in and eventually they overgrow then die. I would not join a forum. I would stop interacting. -ethan

Since the website says this was invented over a century ago and to my knowledge is not in widespread use, I'd be hesitant to believe the claims.

I HATE websites that must be displayed in a small font because the web master didn't bother to set it up to use side to side scrolling, or to even allow the position of the lines be relative to the screen resolution, thus forcing every oversize line to be displayed partially or mostly over the top of the previous line.

IMHO, manufacturers likely produce their top speed metric with a brand new boat with non-painted bottom, low fuel loading and none of the water, electronics, flybridge hardtop, dinghy, tender, house batteries, spares, etc. you find on a real-world boat like ours. I wouldn't beat myself up for being 10% off their published top speed.

Re: [time-nuts] FASTRAX GPS

I did find an older version on the archive.org website, link is below: https://web.archive.org/web/20070227050436/http://isuite.fastrax.fi/download/gpswb/Setup331.exe If you dig around on some newer pages there is also a link to a firmware ownload and the updater software that works.
