Hi all, Yesterday (Sat 8/26) I birded Long Island Sound by boat from about 10am to 5pm. I traveled from New Haven Harbor to Goose Island (Guilford) to the "ferry lanes" in the eastern Sound, then northwest to Black Point and worked the coast back to New Haven.

Re: T&T: Northwest passage

While certain parts of the passage may be ice-free at certain times, you cannot guarantee that a wind or weather change will not bring a crushing pack of ice in on you. In particular, there are certain very narrow passes (e.g. Bellot Straight) which are particularly dangerous. This pack ice can be pushed in at any time at all.

. > The varnish over the Wood Pro sounds interesting. However, since the Wood Pro failed, you might consider discarding it and going with Cetol original satin for the next attempt. I've been using it for years with never a problem. Mel Knott

I don’t have an FCS DVD handy to dig it up. I also have no idea if there is a copy outside a pay wall. They went into a bit more detail on what they saw. It gives you a bit better feel for how it works in the real world.
