It's stored at $HOME/.config/OpenSCAD/OpenSCAD.conf Changing/Adding the fontfamily line in the editor section: -snip--------------------------------------------- [editor] fontfamily=Liberation Mono -snap--------------------------------------------- If that font is not available, the command fc-list should give a list of all known fonts like: /...

Re: [time-nuts] Double ovened 10811-60158 on ebay

As I explained in my 1997 FCS paper, the oven is very symmetrical, etc. We routinely achieved a thermal gain of several 100,000. During design testing, we could often get the thermal gain up to well over 1 million. This is the thermal gain to the crystal. Of course, the gain to the electronics was less.

There was an FCS paper ~30 years ago about the WWII quartz shortage and the research to find alternatives to quartz (which they didn't know how to grow synthetically yet). Spoiler alert: there is nothing else like quartz!. Novice hams routinely used war surplus crystals (FT-243?) after the war.

2 adult Iceland Gulls
Sat, Dec 14, 2013 6:01 PM
Madison, Circle Beach. 2 adult Iceland Gulls ("FC") continues and an additional large adult possibly one of the other Gulls from last year ..it seemed to recognize me and appeared familiar with my routine. Stunning Gull! The Gulls are starting to assemble here with nearly 400 so far, the most I have seen.
