B210 GPS L1 receviver in Simulink
Thu, Apr 27, 2017 8:54 AM
I am not sure what the receiver block parameters should be because based on my calculations (decimation=master clock rate*sample time) I used Fc=1.57542 Ghz, master clock rate 6.138Mhz, decimation is 6 and sample rate is 1/1023000.

Hi Corby, Took a while to find it, but I knew I had uploaded the data. Half way down this page from KO4BB's site. http://www.ko4bb.com/cgi-bin/manuals.pl?

P.s: I don't use any computer for navigation. I get much more of a kick by taking bearings with manual instruments, then rolling out the paper charts and marking them up with parallel rulers and a sharp pencil. Occasionally though, I cheat and look at my Loran C to verify that I really am where I think I am.

I had all of the information needed to avoid disaster. I should have waited to do the verbal declaration until we were safely anchored, and that would have solved the wrong passport number. And even though I "knew" what to do when I entered the harbour, I should have throttled back and reviewed my notes before docking.

When I buy something, I like to walk into a store, touch and feel the item, get a demo if possible and walk out smiling, knowing that what I came in for is now in my hands, ready to use. And yes, I'm willing to pay a bit extra for this if I have to..... Ciao - George, 64, retired and practising 'grouchiness' ;-)

Yippie, I got a discount
Mon, Apr 17, 2006 3:30 PM
I am pleased to inform the list that BoatUS has given me a 10% discount for being claim free. That's such great news that it almost offsets the nearly 20% increase they've given me on this years renewal. I know this has been a hot topic B-4 but does anyone have any recommendations for obtaining a quote? I think it't time to shop around.

I have noticed that >Odyssea have a similar block FT1800 I think in their trolling range, and >they have a 3 year warranty! I had essentially the same experience, but with 8D AGM batteries from Concorde. I first discovered it on my start bank (2 X 8D in series). I was using an Echo Charger, and I chalked it up to that.

Re(2): TWL: Emergency propulsion - Towing

abinning@ovc.uoguelph.ca writes: >I know, I questioned them (Boat U.S.) > a while ago and they said they did cover >towing costs in Canadian waters of the Great Lakes. I haven't seen that in writing anywhere. They have no towing service in Canada that I could find and I dropped my membership because of that. Would love to hear evidence to the contrary.
