Re: [time-nuts] My Racal-Dana 1992

The 9462s in the US military contract 1992s that I have seen (pretty much all of the 1992s one sees in the US are from the mil contract, IME) are marked "9462 454879." I have not seen an oscillator marked "404386," so I do not know if these are Model 9462 oscillators or another model.

Re: [time-nuts] MS3106R10SL-4S connector question

It's a mil-spec connector and I don't see any way for the connector pins to come out.  It looks like it's probably pressure tight.  You can see the blue plastic pin in the third picture.  It's almost like it has something to do with the rubber strain relief/enviro shield, but I dunno what. A little while ago, I acquired an ERC EROS - 800-MIL-2  10MHz 24V powered OCXO, dated 95-23. Well, it seems to work, and comparing with the trusty Thunderbolt, once warmed up and viewed on a dual channel 'scope, where one channel is triggered from one source, the drift relative to each other is some 16 seconds for a full cycle of drift.

Osprey over Sun valley, and 9:30 pm 10/5- barred owl and northern saw-whet. This is the first time in quite some time that I have heard it here (home) I had to listen to a few of its calls on my app to decide what it was.....Lisa

Re: T&T: The 3 Wire Boat

The original X-10 system used the power wiring itself for the control signal channle link but technical limitations in DC circuits meant that a third wir ehad to be added. Relays are on of the oldest methods but by no means the only one.
