We carry these in our pocketed life vests, and do have two of the belt inflation PFD's we wear when in the dinghy in all conditions as well. How about the floatation of a 15.5 lb. floatation vest in high waves? Not so good.

When you consider that there are no long distance charges for US calls, this starts to make it much better to have a mobile phone instead of a land-line (assuming good cellular access at home). Then when you take off on that next cruise, you have your same number and unlimited calling anywhere.
