Ottawa/Gatineau 06Feb02 Great Gray Owl, Tufted Titmouse
Sun, Feb 10, 2002 12:42 AM
This first of all, as a caution, is a mobile home park and the residents are a bit anxious about having people just show up in cars and so if you are interested in seeing this bird, or actually there may be two of them in fact, two TUFTED TITMICE, please knock on the door and introduced yourself and let the people know what you are doing there and ask for permission

Re: [time-nuts] Strange GPS behaviour
Sun, Dec 30, 2012 3:20 AM
We recently did a test by putting an antenna in a side window in the office that had maybe 10% view of the sky, then let the unit run in mobile mode while doing the auto survey. After two days, we switched it into position hold mode. Most of the time it sees only one sat direct, all others are only seen through multipath.

All NOAA charts to become free and available...
Wed, Aug 10, 2005 4:55 PM
It has been reported at www.panbo.com that NOAA will soon release all raster charts to the public on their web site including weekly NTM updates. This is partly as a result of the now expired CRADA agreement that kept these charts out of the public domain.

From time to time I encounter one or the other of those here and there, but never succeeded to find them all in one place. If there isn't, can you please collect them in some convenient way?

I found tonight a couple of websites I'd recommend for learning about Palm or PDA's more generically. I found a good description of the craze in Money magazine and it is viewable on the website http://www.money.com/money/ The info about PDA's is about halfway down the page.
