TWGL: PC's

We also used three different desk top PCs, again off the shelf, with no special considerations for a salt water environment. The desk top PCs were always used below deck, but both the lap top PCs were regularly carried ashore, used topsides and beat up pretty good. None of these failed, nor did we ever have any problem with them.

Our LRC doesn't have a double oven but we do have a full size four burner electric range top and a full size oven along with a built in microwave. I guess it depends upon how people use their boats, but these features were important to us as full time live aboards. My wife can cook a regular meal all of the time.

Re: T&T: Replace Bimini

Replace top and vinyl. 3) Have a fiberglass hardtop built and put in place permanently. New vinyl windows. If I eliminate the cost factor, I would go with #3 the hard top (17 BU)and have the heavy high end windows installed. (5 BU) Since the fly bridge is large, 12ft x 14ft it would gives us a finished enclosure for all uses.

The power companies have all this, and direct connections to do the measurements. The intriguing thing is to do it "non-contact" and see what you can figure out.
