All hands-- I've always been impressed with the informative contributions Jeff Siegel has made over the years to discussions on T&T List. Last summer, I purchased ActiveCaptain Mobile to see what he was up to--and was impressed. What a great navigation tool, and a cruising guide, right in the palm of your hand!

I do not yet see the announcement on the Mobile District USACE site, but our local TV news a showed USACE spox saying the waterway is closed to commercial traffic and all pleasure craft with a draft exceeding 7 feet.
