Grand Banks Transom

All of the ones I have seen in CT have been in fresh water impoundments or headwaters of tidal marshes (all great places for the invasive strain or Phragmites to form a thick monoculture, which is one reason we don't have many King Rails.).

There are over 80 events and over 40 top notch leaders. The migration corridor along the shore of Lake Huron known as "The Huron Fringe", extending from Kincardine to Tobermory on the Bruce Penninusula is the area we cover. Our birding hikes, presentations and workshops are lead by very competent birders and naturalists from all Ontario and Michigan.

First built in 1932, it had been modernized in some ways, but damage from the past storms had not all been repaired. Enjoyed the great hamburgers supposedly made famous by a Jimmy Buffet song at the marina grill. The water is noticeably clearer than Mobil Bay.
