They are much lighter than the 8Ds, but really pack the power (1080 >Amp Hours at the 10 hour rate). The price I got from my local battery shop >was excellent.

120v light bulbs
Fri, Feb 24, 2012 11:03 AM
I converted all of the old fixtures to all dc and put them in my engine room (you can never have too much light down there) but I still have these new bulbs and about 10 of the old ones which were already in the fixtures. Can anyone use them? $20 for 20 bulbs (10 new ones that I paid $1.77/ea for, plus shipping) or any reasonable offer.

(SNIP) If you are not interested in a tablet computer, then I would recommend that you look for computers that are built and tested to the MIL-STD-810 standard. This standard documents all of the environmental testing required for militarized hardware.

It can generate two bands of broadband noise (mil and civilian). The gear looks totally COTS to me. They have omni and directional antennas. If the coordinates are in a public area, you can try to talk to the crew. In the US, they are basically sitting there with the equipment and don't mind talking to the public.
