A poisoned rat typically will die outside its nest. As such, the poison contaminated carcass can be eaten by other animals and these animals will then die the same death as the rat. This includes squirrels, rabbits, racoons, dogs, cats and birds.

It all depends on the anchor, the holding ground, the boat's structure, and the weather. Until you get experienced, put out all the chain you've got room for in the anchorage. Get into the habit of setting your GPS alarm and if you are in the Bahamas, dive on your anchor to make sure it is set before going to bed.

NO WAY, not until I get the silly little thing in a slip all by myself, after which I will pop the top of a Canada Dry club soda and top it off with a lot of Scotch! THEN I might try some wind, might even do a better job too ;-). Too bad my Son is working late tonight, gotta do it all by myself.

All I get with a filter is the larger "o" ring a couple of inches in diameter and the small "o" ring that is used on top of the housing on the handle. Greg Ocean Alex. HHI, SC
