(endsnip) I have not seen these installed, but if I was doing it . . . using a tire to float up and down a piling, I would get a truck or mobile home tire on the rim. Mobile home rims, and some truck rims, do not have a center section . . . no spokes so to speak. They are essentially a metal ring with the tire mounted on it. The rest is part of the axel.

Antenna recommendation for Timing Amateur

What is the real difference between a "timing" antenna and one meant for mobile use? Synergy offers several amplified mobile antennas that would work with 3v. tia jim ab3cv

The "trick", really, is to design all your parts around a convenient origin and then translate them to the assembled position.  It seems most people's intuition is to model the part in the assembled position and then try to move it back to a convenient origin for printing (or whatever else).

Re: Hundreds of birds die each year after crashing into CT buildings. Hiking trails likely a problem too

All members of CT Audubon recently received the mailed annual issue of “Connecticut State of the Birds” which is the source of the articles (and several more!) that appeared in the Courant on 12/9. There was also the free and informative presentation of the report on Zoom the other day.

All the fill and buildings and cars and trucks that were washed away all went into the river, and major dredging operations are already in progress. All floating debris is already removed from the river, in fact it's now cleaner than normal. Local marinas are also all in good shape now.

I've not had time to replicate all that, but I did manage to write the fake value in and at one time get rid of the CAL LOST warning.
