I worked with all the suggestions and decided that skin() was the best choice. Attached is an example scad, a pic of its rendering, and another pic via meshMixer of how the rendered material will be used in a final product. I can use this for many upcoming carving projects. Thank you all!

I am confused however as the drawbacks of the Express Network for which their is an unlimited $99 plan and the mobile link which is the non-express network. I would prefer the Express Network but I have concerns about coverage. The mobile link does not have unlimited use but apparently you have unlimited nights and weekends.

We and two other sailboats are planning on shipping our masts to Mobile from Chicago. We are looking for suggestions for a marina in Chicago that can arrange that and/or a transportation service for getting the masts to a Mobile marina. We are hoping to make our arrangements prior to arriving in Chicago in September.

There is only one formal "no Wake Zone" in Florida between Penacola and Mobile. That is between just before Grand Lagoon State park Launching ramp (Bridge to Perdido Key) and Galvez Ramp, just beyond Holiday Harbor.
