In 100 feet of water (very unusual) all of the chain is on the bottom--in the average anchorage of 20 to 30 feet this equates to abour 200 feet to give the 7: 1 scope. Generally the second bower has 25 to 50 feet of chain and the stern anchors in the 25 to 35 feet of chain and the rest rope. Bob Austin

By doing all of this you choke off any unrestricted paths from the mast into the innards of the boat protecting sensitive electronics and you!!! One thing I am going to work on is getting this stuff out of my head and on to my website with some diagrams to show all of this!!!! Hope this helps fuel good ideas. John

Re: [time-nuts] Best way for generating 8994.03 MHz from 2899.00042272.....MHz?

The MMIC VCO is just a die (or a die in a package) and it's pretty much immune to external effects, since the resonator is built into the oscillator. We built some prototypes at JPL using the VCO and a GaAs divider, and the performance was better than DROs.

There's a nifty website out there that shows the instantaneous and integrated phase difference between various places on the pacific coast, so you can see power flow changing.
