Need 10 MHz for DSN space-probe hunting
Tue, Sep 13, 2016 5:04 PM
Accordingly, what possible options might I have open to obtaining a decent 10 MHz frequency reference for working up at the 8 GHz DSN band? Any feedback on this will be much appreciated!

Does phone registering to the network got to do with the external clock to be employed(10 MHz) ?? I would also try with a BlackBerry phone if possible.

6/24 Station 43 & Cabela's
Mon, Jun 25, 2012 1:57 AM
This afternoon at Station 43 in South Windsor (Newberry Rd) with Carolyn Sedgwick were at least two LEAST BITTERNS, one calling almost constantly that went unseen plus three nice flybys of a second bird (probably more than one involved). Was slightly surprised at the midday activity of the bitterns. A good strategy seems to be to walk to the marsh clearing (where one would have to wade across the road to proceed) and just be patient...a flyby at some point seems likely if today was any indication. At Cabela's in East Hartford we had 3 UPLAND SANDPIPERS, two singing GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, two EASTERN MEADOWLARKS and a female AMERICAN KESTREL. Also Bank Swallows and Savannah Sparrows.
