Sun, Oct 31, 2010 2:57 PM
This morning at around 10 am, I had a swallow fly by that was either a cliff or cave swallow. Lighting was poor, and it was 400-500 m out over Lake Ontario, flying West towards Port Credit.

Re: [time-nuts] What's the easiest way to divide by 10 for Thunderbolt reference output?
Tue, Jul 24, 2012 12:51 PM
Use a divide-by-10 (7490-like) set to divide > with 50% duty cycle or divide by 5 then by 2. Thanks for the reply Azelio. Sorry, should have said, ready built, got too many half finished jobs on the go right now. FAR too many according to my wife.... Will be needing some sort of line distribution amplifier soon, been buying test gear!

time interval with 10 ps resolution using cheap FPGA ?
Fri, Mar 11, 2011 5:33 AM
I was interested to see this 2009 Fermilab paper which claims a 10 ps (RMS) timing resolution in a TDC (time to digital converter) implented in the Altera Cyclone II FPGA, which of course has a much slower clock than that.
