Whimbrels recorded (TOTAL = 46): 10 at 7:15 am and circled until 8:12 am; 1 at 10:50 am which passed by twice more and landed for about 15 minutes until 11:28 am when it flushed and few east; 35 flying east at 2:26 pm. By 4:00 pm the park got very busy with passing cigarettes boat and two para-surfers and sun bathers.

Sparrows!

Bristol: 10/8/11 Between 8am& 9am The field edges of Orchard Hill are filled with sparrows. As best I could tell with binoculars, a Nelson's Sparrow visited-a first for me. The others included White-Crowned, Song, Chipping. About 50 Juncos scattered themselves from a tree on the undeveloped circle off Roberts Trace.

[Ontbirds] Thick-billed Kingbird Update.

At about 10:50 this morning the Thick-billed Kingbird flew off to the south-east of where it had been seen and was then out of sight. No doubt it is still in the Park, but might take some searching, perhaps from Paxton Drive.
