From SH Johnston, Farmington 2/12/10 Mill Lane, Farmington - 1 HARLEQUIN DUCK (drake) continues in the mill pond below the Grist Mill Restaurant at 8:15 am. Also 1 mink on riverbank. Also 1 adult male NORTHERN HARRIER at Fisher Meadows, Avon; this bird is wintering in the Farmington-Avon agricultural corridor.

(Bantam Lake) Observation date: 3/1/10; Time: 17:20-18:30 hours. Notes: This count was conducted from the Pt. Folly observation platform as most of these birds were coming in to roost on the open water at the Outlet. The Lake is still 90% frozen.

But pjsip did run on Solaris sparc with gcc, well at least few years back (I still have my old Ultra-10 below my desk but I don't think I will be able to power it on anytime soon ;-) ). Maybe others can help. cheers, -benny > Thanks.

[Ontbirds]Hawks are flying along the ridge; Cranberry--23 raptors, 3 Great Egrets--Sep.10

When the winds are slight many of the raptors migrating from the east tend to take the Iroquois Shoreline route, 10 km. north of Cranberry. Today, Sep. 10, was no exception--3 Turkey Vulture, 1 Osprey, 3 N.Harrier, 12 Sharp-shinned, 1 Red-tailed, 1 Kestrel and 1 Merlin over 5 hours of viewing.
