Sat, Nov 21, 2015 5:32 PM
I saw 8 + Sandhill Cranes in a cornfield about 1 km north of the intersection of Highway 21 and Bruce rd 10. This is the intersection East of Allenford. They were eating on the edge of a cornfield on the west side of the road with a large flock of Canada Geese. >From Owen Sound go west on highway 21 to the Grey/Bruce line and turn right (north).

Re: [time-nuts] What's the best way to double 10 MHz to 20 MHz ?

If the radio's clock can be trimmed with a voltage, why not divide the radio's 20 MHz clock by two and feed the result into the GPSDO in place of the GPSDO's 10 MHz oscillator. -- Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX N2469R caf@omen.com www.omen.com Developer of Industrial ZMODEM(Tm) for Embedded Applications Omen Technology Inc "The High Reliability Software

It has enormous stop-band suppression maybe 200 >> dB (theoretical) by +/- 10 MHz away from fc, but large insertion loss >> about 10 dB. The plan was to double the 80 MHz OCXO into this filter, >> which should eradicate all spurious from below.

[Ontbirds]Fort Erie Curlew Sandpiper still present Mon. 10/6
Mon, Oct 6, 2008 6:15 PM
The juvenile CURLEW SANDPIPER was still present early this morning (Monday) between at least 8:30 - 10:30 am at Jaeger Rocks in Fort Erie, loosely assoicating with a juv. Dunlin. Also as Willie D. noted, the bird is very flighty with the Killdeer, thus it would be helpful to approach slowly and then scan.

In less than 10 years there will be no more mechanically timed diesels. The trawler with the indestructible single will be a right up there with the 1950 Ford." I am sure he meant in ten years you will not be able to buy a NEW trawler w/o electronic engine controls. HOWEVER, there are still going to be a lot of us with older, non-electronic engines.
