Re: T&T: Free NOAA Charts
Mon, Nov 7, 2005 4:11 AM
Boat/US says Maptech's contract with NOAA has expired and all the raster charts in BSB format are now free to download. I don't know why Maptech is providing the free service. Maybe NOAA is funding it. Here's a link to the Boat/US Magazine article. This sounds too good to be true.

There is a full page ad in NW Yachting advertising free admission to Fish Expo and WorkBoat NW Nov. 14-16 in Seattle. I directs you to register at http://www.workboatnw.com/ or (800)454-3005 using promo code 96C, entering "Workboat" as the type of business and Excursion as the type of fishing. I tried this on the web site and it works.

Re: T&T: Why soft drink cans leak
Mon, May 31, 2010 3:10 AM
The electrolysis happens over a lengthy period of time so we might call this Forgotten Can Syndrome (FCS). Those with thirst greater than budget will not have experienced FCS. The results of the leaks do respond to a mornings worth of elbow grease and a coat of paint in the affected locker. Richard

Where are the Free 2011 Wall Calendars?
Wed, Dec 29, 2010 6:54 PM
I am looking for a FREE 2011 Wall Calendar. The kind that shows 12 months at a glance and hangs on your office wall :) I know many businesses give them away for free as brand/identity schwag. Can I get one somewhere? I'm having trouble finding the simple, cheap paper ones--although, there are plenty of erasables out there (which i do not want).
