[Ontbirds] Algonquin Park Birding Update: 10 December 2009
Fri, Dec 11, 2009 3:45 AM
The centre is open weekends only until December 20, from 10 am to 4 pm. Access to the building through the service entrance to observe the feeders is usually possible on weekdays. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available in the restaurant this winter on weekends, but not full meal service.

Re: [time-nuts] 32768 Hz from 10 MHz

In this particular case, the divisor your want is 2^15 / 10^7. You can remove a common factor of 2^7, giving 2^8 / 5^7, or 256 / 78125. If you only want a square wave output, you should be able to do this with a 17-bit binary counter and some logic.

Re: [time-nuts] What's the easiest way to divide by 10 for Thunderbolt reference output?
Tue, Jul 24, 2012 9:21 PM
Inputting my >>> Thunderbolt at 10 MHz works, but shifts the decimal point over. I am >>> not sure if this has any other detrimental effects as to accuracy or >>> other? What's the easiest way to have a 1 MHz reference from the >>> Thunderbolt for this timer / counter please, yet retaining 10 Mhz for >>> my other devices that want a 10MHz reference signal?

Nocturnal flight Preston and Bluff Point Groton 10/5/19. Disappointing

About 125 Warblers of 10 identified species. 4 Scarlet Tanagers, 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, the first Golden-crowned Kinglets of the season, and a Lincoln's Sparrow were some of the limited highlights. A good push of Tree Swallows and Blue Jays though.

Coastal center
Wed, Sep 10, 2025 7:12 PM
9/10 Milford, Connecticut Audubon coastal center, 10am-1PM. mid-tide rising, 70F, overcast. Lots of activity at the coastal center today. There was a "naturalist class" with a bird walk , Channel 30 recording some migration videos, several visitors. We had a couple visiting from Malta (visiting a friend in Milford who recommended they visit us).
