Stratford Duck Pond
Sat, Oct 6, 2007 3:52 PM
>From Bev Propen 10/6 10 AM Stratford Duck Pond, also known as Raven Pond Park. I visited there this morning to check out the Wood Duck which Mark Jankura has posted and photographed. After searching through many, many mallards, I found this beautiful male Wood Duck sitting under a tree.

Red-headed Woodpecker, Colchester
Sun, Nov 16, 2014 8:46 PM
From Annie and Mike Perko: (sent at 11:18 AM) Red-headed Woodpecker is finally making regular visits to peanut feeder since 10:A.M. lst 5-10 minute intervals but now every 2-3 minutes. Had a red Shoulder Hawk earlier this morning that got some kind of mammal. Got a piece of the foot that we found so don't exactly know what it was.

Broad-winged Hawks moving
Tue, Aug 30, 2016 6:24 PM
Late this morning I visited Hard Hill Road in Bethlehem to check out a family group of American Kestrels that's been there recently. In the process (in addition to the kestrels) I had 10 Broad-winged Hawks circling and peeling off to the SW on set wings. It was beautiful soaring weather with some nice background cumulus cloud cover.

At 10:10, I see a first-winter Iceland Gull, but not the GLAUCOUS yet. Lots of gulls along surf, in the dense fog.
