TWL: Boat names
Wed, Apr 18, 2001 6:13 AM
Oh yes, all the electric lights were also hand made using trailer parts obtained from the local automotive supply store. The lamp casing was all wood. Only the actual socket and bulb were store bought. Brackets etc were fabricated by hand from sheet stock. cheers Arild

TWL: RE: Carved Sign Boards
Thu, Jul 25, 2002 5:29 PM
My customers all knew not to try to get in touch with me on a powder day! They all thought I hand-carved the signs, but I was a router jockey all the way, except for a bit of fine finishing with a die grinder and Dremel tool. My main carving technique was to use a 3/4" wide V-Groove bit on a fixed base router.

Fuel / engine problems
Sun, Mar 11, 2007 1:25 PM
Hello all. We're transporting our boat (Krogen 42) from Houston to Port Everglades FL on the ICW. Great weather so far and good trip except for one maddening (and potentially dangerous) problem. We'll be running normally down the waterway at 7-8 kn, 2200-2400 RPM, when suddenly the engine will start surging and faltering and die.

Dangerous
Wed, Dec 9, 2009 9:21 PM
In my own opinion...if a fair percentage of people can DIE doing an activity then it might be classed as inherently dangerous. So comparing the number of people dying while boating and the number of people boating I'd say boating falls into that category for me...so I take all precautions I reasonably can to reduce the risk.

Receiving on All Channels with X310
Tue, Aug 13, 2024 2:36 PM
I am currently working with an X310 SDR equipped with two TwinRX daughterboards, and I am looking to receive data simultaneously across all four channels. My goal is to maximize the available bandwidth by configuring the system to receive on all channels in parallel. Could you please advise on the best approach to achieve this?

DefenseCode WebScanner is a DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing, BlackBox Testing) solution for comprehensive security audits of active web applications (websites). WebScanner will test a website's security by carrying out a large number of attacks using the most advanced techniques, just as a real attacker would.

Small boats, tackle, and the Loop
Mon, Sep 4, 2006 7:39 PM
I completely remanufactured the boat top to bottom two years ago and all the bugs are worked out of it so mechanically the boat is ready to go. I would like to have it ready in about 6 weeks and go launch them into Kentucky Lake to begin their journey. I have informed them that they may abandon at any time and I will come and pick the boat up.
