Wed, Feb 3, 2016 2:02 AM
Hi there, Today (2 February 2016) at 1100 AM I observed 10 Bald Eagles (7 perched along a tree line and 3 in the adjacent field) seen from Concession 21, looking N, just W of Renaud crossroad. The eagles were also seen by looking S from Concession 20, just W of Renaud.

Maxsea V 10 connecting to Robertson autopilot
Fri, Oct 12, 2007 7:07 AM
I have a Robertson AP200DL Sail Autopilot connected to a 12 yr old Koden GPS through a datalink plotter and it works ok but recently I decided to upgrade to Maxsea V 10. Am now ready to suicide trying to direct connect Computer USB to Robinson autopilot.

HP5370B - 10 sec Gatetime via GPIB
Sun, Jul 1, 2007 9:29 PM
From a pulse generator I apply a 10sec ON, 100ms OFF TTL signal to the External BNC jack, so I get a 10 sec long gate time for averaging jitter effects much quicker than the built-in 1sec maximum gate time. Additionally, I send the results via GPIB to the computer for the usual statistics on the data.

Re: [time-nuts] Jupiter GPS 10 KHz pin
Fri, Mar 21, 2008 2:57 AM
You two are indeed correct, as I found a nice looking 10 kHz signal on the pin you identified. My GPS is a TravRoute CoPilot serial "hockey puck" which happens to have a Jupiter chipset (FW 1.83 1997). I thought that this GPS (my first) was about done, but I think its found some new life...

Re: [time-nuts] PRS-10 input and output calibrations

An alternative is to feed the PRS10 output to a HP333x Synthesizer and have that generate your 10-epsilon MHz for the PPSdiv.

Re: [time-nuts] Any Isotemp OCXO107-10 Info?

Spec is < 2e-10/day. Earlier I babbled something about a 200 Hz tuning range. I don't know what I was thinking. The tuning range is 5 MHz +3 Hz to -7 Hz. So far the drift has been upwards so I have lots of room to slow it down.

HP5061B Modulation Adjustment

Two volts pp of 10 mc rides on that dc. We were operating unterminated on the output of the mixer. As long as the diode drops are stable, we can still see phase changes to a fraction of a picosecond. A picosecond is the delay in an 8 mil length of RG58 cable. (1,500 ps per foot) We have one DVM with a resolution of 1 μ V dc.
