TWL: Re: fuel tanks and polishing revisited
Fri, Dec 29, 2000 9:29 PM
I came up with an idea to solve > leaking fuel tank and dirty fuel trouble all in one. > As for leaky fuel tanks - > > 1) remove entire side of fuel tank- the best method > for this, I am not sure ?? You might drain the entire tank, if possible, then purge with several volumns of CO2. Possibly cut the side out with a nylon wheel in a die grinder.

All these taken together make the presence of European birds quite remarkable. Some species include Lapwing, Corn Crake, Fieldfare, Redwing etc. So, based on these criteria I thought the Lapwing was the more remarkable record. For the same reasons I also thought the Black Guillemot should be ranked higher.

There's a chinaman's hat type cap on top to keep things from falling in. These seem to keep condensation and mildew out of the boat. It is still cold inside, tho. (26 degrees F here this morning). They're cheap and don't use much juice. -- Regards, Peter McCorison, Orcas Island, WA M/V Coho, 50' Troller Yacht; the "Gourmet Fishboat"

A while back, someone mentioned melting battery terminals because he had used a stainless bolt, and had put a stainless washer between the cable lug and the battery post, so all current had to flow through the stainless washer. Re: T&T: Double Crimp Ratchet Tool-how to use question

When placing the terminal into the appropriate color-coded nest make sure the area to be crimped onto the exposed wire strands is opposit the colored dot and on the smooth arc side of the die. The opposite colored dot side of the die with the indent in each cavity is designed to put the second crimp in the insulation portion of the wire."
