Racors 2 micron vs 10 micron (who knows?)
Sun, Jul 2, 2006 12:26 PM
I questioned the micron rating of the CAV filters that most of us use and Wix says their filter is 10 micron (part # 33166) and Lucas/Delphi claims theirs (part # 7111-296) is 5-7 micron. Wix techs dispute Lucas... Probably Racor would have their own spin on the subject.. Below are the emails I received FYI.

We mad our way through and headed for our first of two locks for the day..we locked right through with almost no delay and headed for the next lock 22 mils away. As we arrived at the next lock there were three other pleasure craft waiting to lock through.
