Claflin University's Dr. Nicholas Panasik Receives Prestigious National Science Foundation Grant

Panasik was recently awarded a five-year grant by the NSF that could potentially be worth $750,000 to support biofuel research. The NSF grant is awarded to junior faculty who "exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research."

So current is only going to flow in that circuit when one battery starts to get weak and others have to come to its support. Is that good? Do you want to deplete all of one 6 volt bank trying to boost up one bad member, or would it be better without the extra circuit and let the one battery die peacefully on its own. Let's take a worst case scenario.

There are also manufacturer sponsored lists where marketing or product support is important, and there's a desire to keep the speculative bug finding and philosophical design discussions from distracting new customers. Flex-radio/flexedge lists are in this bucket, but I don't know how well it works.

Both are supported by various Time Nut software packages. Both do GPIB and serial i/o. The 620 is a bit more controllable over serial. The 53132 takes up less space on your bench. >> >> For the same price - go for the 620.
