[Ontbirds] OFO-Toronto Islands trip (reminder) for Sunday, September 1

The ferry prices are $7.00 (in coins) for an adult and $4:50 for seniors and students. All fares are return fares. You will need these amounts in CHANGE, to obtain your ticket from a machine,so be sure to have $1.00 and $2.00 and/or 25 cent coins before you arrive at the docks as there is no reliable place to get change.

The watches likely used CMOS IC, but they still had to do all the work of those beefy desktop receivers. Anything you could do with a trickle from a coin cell battery in 1993 you could easily do with a couple of AAs in 1983. The only difference is the LED display vs a watch's LCD or analog movement.

There were raptors all over the sky .... so many and spread out in fact that the counters felt they missed many birds. The majority of the AKs came in along the cliff ... Sometimes 20 together!

A few Northern Harriers and Coops, four Red-tails, and a Sharp-shinned Hawk were all that we had for migrants. Our local Cooper's Hawk, probably the most written about in Southeastern Michigan, made several appearances. Non-raptor Observations: At least one Double-crested Cormorant is still around.

To put this in perspective, there is also no top-level spec explicitly saying that a.com should not be able to read the contents of b.com. /mz
