Willets reach Maine on 4/26 about 18 days after reaching CT!
Fri, Apr 27, 2012 10:42 PM
Measured by Willets, you could say that Spring reached Maine yesterday 4/26, at Scarborough Marsh, when the first two Willets flew over. These were the first willets reported in Maine on the internet lists this year. This completes the first-of-year arrivals of Willets in ALL the East Coast states.

Re: Thoroflush Winterizing Unit

Close the seacock, remove the top from the strainer" Which is true you could, but having a handy length of hose and garden type push snap fittings on the Thoroflush units - then all it takes is a turn of the levers and you're off an running.

sea strainers (and losing A/C prime)
Sun, Aug 5, 2007 4:45 PM
The final solution was found when I carefully observed the clear hose between strainer and pump and saw a bubble form along the top of the hose. I had been certain that I had a steady uphill climb from through-hull to pump, but it is not always easy to tell whether that aim is achieved in the confines of the engine room.

Re: T&T: Swim Platform Ladder Design Question...
Sun, Oct 3, 2010 11:06 PM
For anyone who has not tried this, those are big waves/swells and no dinky, little, fixed, std, "marine" ladder will be safe and easy. My opinion is coloured by being a diver, with 20 years experience, all over the world, and having boarded from the water plenty of times exactly in these kinds of conditions.

Re: [time-nuts] HP 10544A Repair
Sun, Feb 28, 2016 11:03 PM
Despite all of this logical and rational thinking, the BT remained a “top secret” sort of thing as far as (at least certain people at) HP were concerned. Those who were concerned also had the route to the HP PR machine so that’s the story that went out to the world. Those involved left HP long ago.

Maybe with a wing on top to fit between the top fin and the frame too. Possibilities are many but all depend on being able to warp the output end up a mm or 3. Yup, a translate in front of the cube works. I think I've got it. Thank you Steve. Take care and stay well.
