Hull speed Theoretical - How to Tell a Displacement Hull
Tue, Jul 15, 2008 10:43 PM
Sorry if this has been said, as I may not have read all the mail on this subject, but it is pretty easy to see whether your hull is a true displacement hull or a semi-displacement hull: look at the transom. Does it go down into the water? If it does, it is not a true displacement hull, and you can forget about getting all that efficiency.

The bits, packets and protocols that you implement on top of this physical layer are all implemented in S/W on the Host computers.

It might die tomorrow. That tends to be a bit of a concern as far as running them all the time in a basement lab. With the high performance tubes in the 5071, my experience was that 6 to 7 years of continuous use was about it. The “standard” tubes in the 5071 should be good for > 2X that time period.

Neat Marina website

They have aerial pictures of marinas all over the country including the Bahamas. You can zoom in on any of the pictures. Just do a search for your marina or the next one you are going to and check it out. You might even find a picture of your boat. Look at the side bar on the right because they have up to 10 pictures of each marina.
