[Ontbirds] Ash-throated Flycatcher - May 30 - Long Point Bird Observatory Old Cut Research Station
Thu, May 30, 2013 2:50 PM
The Ash-throated Flycatcher was observed on and off all yesterday and was found again at about 10:30 this morning by Ted Madeford near the end of Lighthouse Crst. The bird has favored the pines on the east side of Lighthouse Crst, and the tree tops within the Old Cut woodlot, but has been a bit of a ghost.

Naiad stabilizer service on Florida's west coast?
Sat, Apr 30, 2016 4:46 PM
On top of that, we'll have to be off the boat while it's on the hard due to yard policy. I'd love to have an alternative, even if it's not a factory-authorized service center. The job is to remove the seals, inspect the bearings and replace as needed, re-pack, and install new seals.

Re: TWL: To Gen or not to Gen

But hopefully all trawler crawlers are not so >r\ To Gen or not to Gen, that is the question: Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous neighbors, Or to take up arms against an anchorage of troubles, And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep: No more: and by a sleep to say we end...

Re: T&T: Perkins 6.354 oil filter

All the name brands-- Die Hard, Interstate, etc., etc., etc. come from these two manufacturers. There are more than two filter manufacturers, but it's the same idea. The same is true for fuel pumps. The trick there is to specify the one for the cheapest car - e.g. Bosch used to make the same pump for VW, BMW and Ferrari.

This kills all the krill and plankton and the animals which feed upon them either die or go elsewhere - mostly elsewhere. The Gulf is one of two locations, worldwide, for the breeding of Blue Fin Tuna - already in danger of being "fished-out." Phooey, Ron Rogers
