Re: T&T: Green/red buoy

There is one of these buoys at the top of a narrow passage we transit most times we go out. It marks (I believe) a wreck. The top band is red, which indicates that the buoy should be taken on the starboard side by vessels entering this end of the passage.

Someone informed our national HQ that I had violated copyright and plagerized some German website. ?????? When I looked at the named website I saw they had also copied the USCG data and even indicated where they had got the information. However they had also published a copyright notice of their website.

You also mention sudden vegetation die-off. Are you referring to eelgrass? Parts of Cape Cod Bay have been experiencing unexplained die-off's in recent years as have parts of the CT coast. Could this be a cyclical phenomenon as what occurred globally in the 1930's?

Re: [CT Birds] Anchor Beach with many dead washed up fish

If fish die off in colder weather it may result in a big boost to birds and animals along the shoreline, resulting in higher concentrations of them near an abundant food source. A few winters ago, a fish die-off in Old Lyme resulted in a big concentration of eagles, gulls and other wildlife taking advantage of the banquet for nearly a month.

Keith, filling the tanks to the top keeps moisture out. Filling an automobile to the top puts fuel into the charcoal canister, which creates an emissions problem. Rodger Wrona Rollsdoc MT49PH
