from the index mark cover plate on the bottom rear section (slightly right when looking from back of engine). This is the index mark used to set the injector pump to the correct timing. After it got rid of the extra oil through this place, all was well. Another thing to check is to see if your engine dipstick has been "indexed" to its current inclination. This would be indicated by new full and quart-low marks filed on the dipstick. This is done by completely emptying the sump and pouring in 11 quarts, no more, no less. Mark the level on the stick, and pour in one more quart. Mark that level too.
