Any suggestion - or PPM should die
Thu, Dec 11, 2008 6:19 AM
old days is just negative ramblings from some old codger's trying to justify a time out there sailing with the bare basics, when the guys with the spas on board these days were landlocked and had their heads down and butts up scrounging for a dollar for their dream retirement. A perfect passagemaker is a boat that will take you safely and comfortably over a long distance, keeping the water on the outside, and giving you a deep sense of satisfaction when you wrap up your lines at the end. Question: What do people thing about Dashews need for speed on his FPB, and is it worth it? Peter

Did my Tbolt die ?
Sat, Jul 17, 2010 7:02 AM
both Heather and Tboltmon. Heather says No COM1 Serial Port data seen, and Tboltmon shows data being sent, but nothing being received. Even tried a factory reset via Tboltmon, to no avail. Have no idea why it might have stopped working. Any suggestions ? TIA.

That's easy to disseminate on listservs and on websites. Drives people to the NCL site and increases the image of NCL again, as "the place!" One stop shopping, you know....? Just a thought, Jean In a message dated 7/27/2015 11:07:51 A.M.

Re: T&T: Iron fuel tanks, in general

Every small aircraft fuel tank is designed this way, with easy to access valves so that the tank can be checked for water before every flight. How much more effective would polishing systems be if they could draw from a tube in this deep sump. Tank tops would also be more corrosion resistant if sloped or curved to shed water.

Notice to Mariners-lock 25 to lock e-26
Fri, Aug 13, 2004 6:14 PM
Aug 13 2004 Greetings from: "Hannah's Mommy" on the Erie Canal- Mariners are advised of a temporary reduction in available water depth on the Erie Canal between Lock E-25 and Lock E-26. Operational problems with a water control structure at Lock E-25 have left the water level nearly one foot below normal levels.

But without a swim step, the only option for carrying a dinghy is on the cabin top. This is not a big deal, as a lot of boats carry their dinghy on the cabin top. But there can be an advantage to a swimstep-mounted dinghy, and this doesn't seem to be an option with a VT37.
