Looks like an all white cigarette, about 1" long. However, a Labrador fisherman told me they use real cigarettes, smoke about half and then stick the glowing end into that adapter. Works everytime!

You might have seen one like it during an earlier incarnation (little red lights running around in a circle). It's easy to read, quite accurate and dependable except for the differential.

I guarantee that every single proposal that comes in to a funding agency has a very convincing argument how there's millions of people who will benefit from funding this, and if you don't fund it, puppies and kittens will spontaneously die. I've written those pages myself. The website says that COSMIC-2 won't be online til 2017.

The cesium ampoule is all metal and sits upside down in the center of the "wicking" screen. The center of the burst diaphragm is welded to a post that comes out the top of the oven via an insulated feedthru. When they want to free the cesium they apply a high current thru the post and it melts a hole where the post was welded to the diaphragm.

Hi Jon, I'm not at all saying this would work - but if you already have the shaft printed in TPI/cheetah, would you be up for an experiment? I would be interested to see if putting both the shaft and the die in the freezer overnight and repeating the attempt rapidly on removal might yield a better, if not 'good' result?

Myers Beach, Boca Grande or Naples are all great stops and not far out of the way. There is no reason to go from Ft. Myers to Key West, unless you want to. You can run to Marathon or Islamorada and shave many miles off the trip.

All of the updates are now live to the 19 part series. In particular, major re-writes were done on the iPhone and navigation articles. A lot more iPhone information was put into all of the articles where appropriate.
