Re: T&T: Cost for Renewal of USCG Documentation
Thu, Mar 19, 2015 10:56 PM
I contacted the USCG Documentation center in Falling Waters, WV (NVDC at (800) 799-8362) for assistance and after a bit of discussion, was told that instead of registering on the CG website, I could just go to pay.gov and use a brand new option pay for my renewal there. I just did that and it was easy.

Re: T&T: Electronic Engines (was: Iveco Vs Deere)

regards Arild All this babble about non reliability of electronic engines needs a reality check. First of all your engine is not going to die if your alternator quits it's only going to die if your batteries go stone dead.

Re: Satellite TV vs. antennas

It is mounted near the mast top, 30' above waterline. Easy to install, it has substantially improved reception as we travel the ICW, and we're very happy with it. Not as good but a whole lot cheaper than Sat-TV. Mark Richter, Winnie the Pooh _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?

premature impeller failures
Tue, May 26, 2020 7:05 PM
I recently found that the cam on our pump was chipped at the top end and that was shredding the impellers. As already said, it is easy to replace the cam by removing one screw. In an emergency the cam could possibly be turned end for end thus moving a sharp chipped end away from the leading edge of the rotating impeller.
