I will have to admit, the nav computer did die on me 4 years ago. It was a (at that time) 5 year old GX150 that I didn't take in during the winter in Wilmington, NC. The motherboard froze. I replaced the motherboard with one from a GX100 and sofar its done fine.

If the threads on the zinc do not screw in fully or easily, the threads can be chased by a standard straight tap and die of the correct size. If the broken off butt cannot be screwed out, it can be drilled out and the threads in the plug chased with the appropriate sized tap.

I had one die 2 years ago (bad front motor bearing) which I replaced with a spare. A few months ago that spare died with a stripped drive gear. I now have the last spare in place and don't think I'll be using a Whale in the future for our shower sump pump.

Now that's good, one shot takes out the leader and then they'll just mill around, lost, hopefully until they die of starvation. (For those with jet... ahem, PWC, I'm just kidding; I love you all.) By the way, I called it correct, they did disappear around sundown, but then the other gnats showed up.

People die every year using these heaters in closed spaces. Rudy et al. Over here, there are kerosene heaters (japanese branded) over here that are used to heat smallish places during the winter. They are flue- less, and there are strongly worded warnings that to avoid CO poisoning, one must use an "approved" fuel.

We're going to see a lot of stuff die in the coming years from these little critters.

They are an advel design of light alloy rivet with an external thread and a hexagonal head on the die. They fasten with standard automatic riveting equipment but can be removed and re-installed with a allen (hex) key. They work very well.

Is my oven controller dieing? I did a reacquire satellites abt 10 days ago - no difference. See plot below of the last ~36 days. Any thing to try - restart from cold, etc ??? George
