I now have the last spare in place and don't think I'll be using a Whale in the future for our shower sump pump. The front bearing is a $3 part but the way the pump is constructed you can't remove it without destructive techniques. Ditto the $.10 cent plastic gear. So for want of less than $5 of parts I have two $200 bricked Whale pumps. An email to & telecom with Whale in Vermont resulted in them basically telling me I was SOL.
