It's a coin flip.  Having the two with the same name would be in a sense confusing, but at the same time it makes the association between them be really strong... and it *should* be really strong. Of course, you can only ask this question in a language where variable names[*] and functions are in different namespaces.

Good points made - no income for the company, However on the other side of the coin - look at Agilient having available all of the old HP manuals for download even though there is no income to them. I wonder if it was a requirement of them to supply HP manuals when they absorbed HP.

More on Slipper Shells
Fri, Jan 16, 2009 1:20 PM
When you see them stacked upon each other (hence fornicata) the top one is a male the bottom one is female and the one’s in between are hermaphrodites. They appear to be very abundant based upon the shells washed upon the beach. One only sees live ones when the stones they are attached to gets washed up after a storm.

. - hopefully it will not die from Botulism as a result. There are still new birds dying daily and the carcasses are not being collected so scavengers and predators remain at risk. There was one Great Egret feeding off the natural beach.

I'm sure there have been times when we all wish we could have outrun some weather but with the availability of good reports these days and a willingness to take it easy speed is not critical. To me the passage is as important as the goal.

Mansfield Center - hummingbird wars
Wed, Aug 11, 2010 2:10 PM
I have at least 6 females, 1 male that are fighting over 6 feeders (one is a mobile with 3 glass orbs). There is a female that loves to sit on the top of that feeder and chase off every other hummer. Although occasionally there will be 4-5 feeding from the 3 orbs on this particular feeder.
