The other reality of batteries is that they have a discrete number of charges in them before they die, and they are expensive to replace. So, run on AC when you can. Where's Joe Engel? Cheers, Garrett

New Type Of WiFi Service

FWIW, Wi-Max will likely die as a viable technology in the US before being fully deployed. Unfortunately for Sprint, this will be second failed attempt at being a market leader. For those of us that remeber Sprint Spectrum, it too died rather quickly. If I was making a choice today I'd pick EVDO Rev A and wait for LTE. Just my opinion, Gil

As a tangential topic, how would one put numbers on each face, i.e., turn this into a 20-sided die for Dungeons and Dragons? It doesn't sound easy.

Re: [time-nuts] IEEE 1588 PTP support on raspberry pi 4 compute module

If one is after PTP though, there are more suitable SBCs than the CM4 for which the breakout board isn't sold yet, like Beaglebone Black (TI AM335x) or Wandboard (i.mxN) or MinnowBoard (x86 and some variants have discrete Intel PHY chips with 1PPS in/out support) or PC Engines' APU1/APU2 with multiple(!) Intel PHYs.All of these support PTP.
