Re: [time-nuts] RS-232 Pin Outs for the Acron Zeit WWVB LCD Clock

the connection would have to be a minimal 3-wire serial (RS-232 or TTL/UART)https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS-232#3-wire_and_5-wire_RS-232 Ground is easy to find, and TxD and RxD is a coin-toss (50:50) if you hook-up right. greg, w9gb === I thought I could answer this question (Acron Zeit) easily, since I had the cable right at hand.

Five turkey vultures made the trek, fighting the headwinds all the way. Our moment of hope came with two gray ghost male harriers flying together in our direction. Usually, one day a season, we have a good gray ghost day when the males all seem to come at once. I suppose today was that day but the numbers were disappointing.

I use what appears to be a very similar device on my solar hot water system ashore. It looks like it's all brass, and lets the air out without venting even a drop of water.

pump outs
Sun, Oct 25, 2009 12:27 AM
Hi All, I think most of the time we encounter pump out fees of $5 or $10 at marinas. Along the Erie Canal last summer most city docks had coin operated do-it-yourself pump outs for $1-$2 or even free with a token from the local visitor center.

True, but there is always a probability that they all happen to be off one way. Quite a small probability, but not impossible. Sorry for the disturbing thought.
