It is easy to find stuff in the archives. If you go to Google, and add the term "site:trawering.com" to your search term, you can search the archives. For instance to find Rudy's post on cotter pins just type: "site:trawlering.com cotter pins" (no quotes of course) Then, easy as pie, Rudy's orignal post will be right at the top.

Daisy, The COA website is a great resource for such information.

[Ontbirds] HSR: Grimsby, ON - Beamer Conservation Area (26 Mar 2010) 94 Raptors

The counting is all done by volunteers. Not all members are counters nor does a counter have to be a member. Typically one person is the designated counter for each day but other observers present assist with the spotting and identification. Counting is done from a steel observation tower with a wooden floor.

Over correcting is awfully easy to do. I do it all of the time. Bob Owens Tugly 26' Nordic Tug Subject: Autohelm ST5000 > >Hello list, > >I purchased an Albin 33 last year, and found out that >steering her is more difficult than with my old >sailboat. The trawler's rudder is less than half the Snip

Crew compatibility along with lightening, engine failure, crew overboard are all serious issues but not on our top list of concerns. Remember there's a big difference between a bad day at seas and one that causes the loss of life. One is easy to recover from the other is not.

We first took the information from the last survey (purchase survey) along with pictures and created a quick and easy website on www.blogger.com. Basically setup a blog and create one post with all the information. Then you can have individual posts that contain all the details about the various systems on the boat (hull, engines, electronics, etc).

verizon and email

We manage by doing different things which are probably all supersititious behavior, but if we diddle enough we eventually manage to get our desk top to work. We never have trouble getting on the inernet, just email. So our desk top works at times and the laptop not at all for email at the moment.
