Re: Adding an undef-coalescing operator '??'

Implementing a full try / catch or warning suppression is probably not easy and I'm not sure what value it would provide other than this one specific case. Your point about lexical variables is valid. Would changing it to only suppress warnings for `$` scoped variables be less of a hack, or would it just be adding a special case on top of a special case?

Once you get it all apart, replacement of the IC is no big deal, but what a PITA to get to it. I vaguely recall posting the whole story on that website that has big coverage of the Z3801A - I can't remember the name, since I haven't been there in a while, but it should be easy to find.

TWL: Re: Spiders spiders, what to do about spiders

I have heard and seen people use the sky-blue plastic "tarps" to line the top of their covered dock, (inside). Also sky blue paint on the ceilings to fool the spiders into thinking there is sky above them. They don't like to be in the sun. This has removed most or all of the problem for them. Help with porting an old out-of-tree block
Thu, May 19, 2016 11:50 AM
Hi all, I've been working on porting an old gnuradio out-of-tree block [1] to latest upstream gnuradio. The port is available in [2]. The block implements a reader for RFID tags on top of an USRP v1. The C++ code was quite easy to port, but I'm stuck with the Python application I'm interested in [3].

Excellent equipment rack
Tue, Jun 11, 2019 6:02 AM
To prevent twisting, I fitted a plywood board on the top bolted to the top front and rear angle pieces.  To prevent a side-to-side movement required an 8 inch wide piece of scrap aluminum plate bolted to the rear vertical posts.  This is easy to do as there are a plethora of precision spaced holes available.

Planning cans and paper boxes
Wed, Dec 29, 2004 7:45 PM
We stored all goods in plastic containers with lids--that way it kept the salt water off, allowed easy inventory and finding the food store. We took no paper bags or large cardboard boxes aboard--and never had roach problems.
