Re: [NCL Board] Literacy Leadership Awards: Results, Response Needed
Tue, Sep 19, 2017 8:39 PM
I'll create a separate announcement about that for posting on our website after we release the award winners' names. Speaking of award winners, all of you have voted in favor of Joel except for Jeff, who makes a persuasive argument for deferring his award until next year. Are you all willing to go with Jeff's recommendation?

Just think of all the boats that were built to cross Oceans that we know never will. It's what you do with what you have that counts. . [Ontbirds] Grimsby, ON - Beamer Conservation Area (26 Mar 2018) 260 Raptors
Tue, Mar 27, 2018 12:50 AM
Raptor Observations: All in all quite disappointing, particularly in the morning. Picked up midday but little variety and sometimes the flight was quite high. At least a few hours had more hawks than vultures. No sign of a Black Vulture but a couple of local TVs went round and round.

All counting is done by volunteers. Not all members are counters nor does a counter have to be a member. Typically one person is the designated counter for each day but other observers present assist with the spotting and identification. Counting is done from a steel observation tower with a wooden floor.
