Ron Rogers To Ron and the group, Don't know about a thread...but.....you add a die to the engine/trans oil and can use a black light to find an engine or transmission oil leak. There are also dies for air conditioning system leaks. Never heard of one on the fuel side however.

Tankless Water heater
Sat, Dec 22, 2007 1:07 PM
My 12 gallon water heater is about to die on us. I am considering installing one of the new tankless water heaters on board and was wondering if listees have any experience with one of these on a boat. Our current tank is 220v electric, so replacing with a tankless should be pretty straight forward.

Marina in Montreal

Once inside, the docks are mostly new with movable cleats, the staff is helpful and the location is to die for. Exit the marina, go up some stairs and you are in the old city of Montreal. Locks are on all the doors. Wayne Prichard M/V Segue, 1984 Californian 43 wprichard@tds.net

Engine problem fixed
Wed, Jun 12, 2019 6:19 AM
Thank you to all the list members who sent me suggestions to explain why my engine would start and then quickly die. the problem is now fixed and as most people guessed there was an air leak in one fitting that’s a mechanic had simply not tightened. once I got to Alaska it only took a couple of hours to find the problem. thanks again m.

One can only hope that the local coroner is also a Time-Nut, so that time of death can be determined with suitable accuracy and precision.

Snowy owls
Thu, Dec 5, 2013 11:16 PM
I do not like to see animals die from starvation but it happens all over the world. Protection for endangered species may be in order but for the snowy, this is not the case. Let's just do our best to give them space and let nature take its course. _Tim Wininger
