I have had a LAVAC head for 8 years, recently the bottom of the bowl has begun
to peel and leave a rough stained and surface that can't be cleaned. Before I
replace it with another LAVAC I was seeking the lists advice re the cause of the
problem and prevention. It is a raw later head.  Thanks  Russ Davingon

If replacing the bowl is too expensive or impractical then consider
refinishing it. I have had goo success refinishing tubs with epoxy paint. It
leaves a surface not unlike the original enamel.
